Deadline and Deadline, and Another Deadline

FYI,  I've just been so busy lately. A lot of manuscript needs to be finished before November. Deadline, and another deadline, both in my academic life and writing.

There are 3 competitions about science and 2 others in writing. I already finished and submitted 4 from 5 competitions. And the last one -which has the greatest prize of all- is waiting to be finished. I'll write this one in marathon, 50 pages short-novel in 2 weeks because the final draft should be submitted in the end of November.


One of the competitions is Writing Competition 2011 on Dumalana.com. I've sent 2 short stories of mine to this competition. The first story is "Penangkap Bintang" (Star catcher) about a girl who wants to be a star catcher, and a man who never tell his true feeling. Click on title to read.

The second story is "Filosofi Sandal" (Sandal's Philosophy). Set in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, this story is about a couple who stay together, become good friends but resist falling in love. Click on title to read.




In my academic field, 3 competitions are waiting for the announcement. One of my scientific research will be published as an scientific anthology (next month, my first book will be published as a non-fiction, btw).


My brain was switched between science and writing so often. A lot of information, a lot of numbers, a lot of statistic data, and a lot of analysis were crammed into my head at a single time.


And, here I am. With so much caffeine settled in my brain, haven't slept in a long time, and I really need a holiday, just 5 days or a week will be okay.

Nanowrimo will come in 6 days, 50,000 words-length sci-fi novel and a 50 pages-length short novel are waiting to be written in November.

My international scientific journal is still on process, and should be finished before 2nd week of December, as well as my final assignment (preliminary plant design).


Another deadline, huh?
